Frank Bergon is a novelist, critic, and essayist who has published a dozen books of both fiction and nonfiction. His true-crime novel “Wild Game” is based on the shooting of two Idaho game wardens by the self-styled mountain man Claude Dallas. “Jesse’s Ghost” is a fictional account of how a man killed his best friend, based on real-life people and events the author knew in California. His forthcoming nonfiction book is “Two-Buck Chuck and the Marlboro Man: America’s True West.” Frank taught literature and writing at Vassar for many years. frankbergon.com
