Meryl Gordon is the author of the upcoming biography, Bunny Mellon: The Life of an American Style Legend, out in September, as well as The Phantom of Fifth Avenue: The Mysterious Life and Scandalous Death of Heiress Huguette Clark, and Mrs. Astor Regrets: The Hidden Betrayals of a Family Beyond Reproach. She is an award winning journalist whose articles have appeared in Vanity Fair, the New York Times and New York Magazine. She is the director of magazine writing at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. A native of Rochester, N.Y., and a graduate of the University of Michigan, she lives in Manhattan but has been spending summers on Martha’s Vineyard since 1994.
